Honor Roll school Socorro ISD’s Escontrias Elementary School has been selected
by the National Center for Urban School Transformation (NCUST) as a Honor Roll
school and finalist for the 2010 National Excellence in Urban Education Award.
The honor is one of many recent accolades earned by the school for its

GRADING/PROGRESS REPORTS TO PARENTS will take effect this month. These revisions
are based upon Senate Bill 2033 which now requires all school districts to adopt

Socorro Independent School District in El Paso, Texas was awarded $250,000 in
Broad Prize college scholarships as a finalist for the nation’s most improved
urban school district. All SISD 2010 graduating seniors are invited to learn
