Candidates to Fill Board Vacancy									
Residents living in the Socorro
Independent School District who are eager to make a difference in the education
of more than 39,000 students in Socorro ISD are encouraged to apply for a vacant
seat on the District’s school board.  An At-Large position which represents the
entire Socorro Independent School District recently became vacant.Socorro ISD
Board President Karen Blaine said the Board has decided to appoint someone to
serve until the next election in May 2009.  All registered voters who are
interested in being considered may submit letters of interest to the SISD
Superintendent’s Office at 12440 Rojas, El Paso, Texas 79928 before 5 pm on
November 14, 2008.  The letter of interest should provide any information which
the applicant believes would assist the Board of Trustees in consideration to
